STEVE LITTLE was a University of Arkansas kicker who shares the NCAA record for longest field goal, a 67-yard boot against Texas in 1977; two-time All-American at Arkansas; set team bowl records for PATs (4) in Arkansas' Cotton and Orange Bowl victories in 1976 and 1978; held school record for career points (280) at the time of his death; chosen 15th overall at the 1978 draft by the Cardinals who handed him the punting and kicking duties; released after six games in 1980, the same day (Oct. 16) he was in an automobile accident that left him paralyzed for life.  Steve passed away in Little Rock, September 6, 1999.
